A few weeks ago, we had a bbq at my mom's and John & I got to visit with the newest member of our family...Baby Dane. He's about 2 months or so here.
He is the son of Amber and Mike (my cousins.)
This is me with Baby Dane. I was elected the baby sitter. Who am I kidding? I was a baby hog! I fed him and rocked him and he even fell asleep in my arms.
I guess I'm pretty comfy since Dane crashed. Is this a cute baby or what?
Then in July we had a visit from my sister and her kids. Atticus is 5 and Harper is 1. Harper likes be where her big brother is. She even waits outside while he takes a shower.
Here we are goofing around. We have a good time.

... as he's hiding from her and making her laugh. He's really a great big brother. She follows him everywhere. She wants what he has and she wants to be where he is.
yea! Atticus. Harper is genuinely entertained.
Later than night, Atticus & Mom had a date. They went to see a play at Casa Manana in Ft. Worth where his cousin, Laura, was acting. He got all dressed up in a nice suit. Doesn't he look spiffy?
Harper was not happy that she got left behind. She sat like this watching Alvin & the Chipmonks and wouldn't laugh or dance or anything.
I finally had to cheer her up with a treat. I was feeding her bites of ice cream sandwich. she enjoyed it so much that she even licked my fingers! I wish I could find it but I have a photo of me and my sister in this same pose. I used to feed her bites of Three Muskateers bars (the inside) and she would eat it off my fingers just like this. Like momma like daughter. (I guess I should clarify - in the photo with my sister, she's only about 1 year at the time. It's not a recent photo. Now when she wants my Three Muskateers, she just pushes me down and takes it.)
After her ice cream treat she went back to the movie and drank her milk. I think she was still mad. She really holds a grudge! I'm glad it wasn't me on her bad side.
